Meet Danielle

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor I strive to provide a safe place for women and nonbinary clients to heal from PTSD and trauma in the context of a caring, trusting therapeutic relationship. I welcome a diversity of clients including LGBTQ+ individuals as well as cultural and religious minorities.

I regularly work with those struggling with the effects of motor vehicle accident, sexual assault, attachment injuries, childhood trauma, prenatal and postpartum trauma, medical trauma, disturbing memories, phobias and more.  I am also skilled in treating Anxiety, Phobias, Depression, and Self-Esteem struggles.

I especially enjoy working with college students and young adults as well as other helping professionals such as counselors, nurses, and teachers, navigating their own trauma histories. I focus on stability and safety before beginning trauma work with all new clients.

EMDR has been shown to be helpful in a variety of issues including:

  • Trauma and PTSD: EMDR therapy is particularly well-suited for processing and healing from traumatic experiences, including those stemming from childhood abuse, accidents, natural disasters, or combat.

  • Anxiety and Panic Attacks: EMDR can help alleviate the symptoms of anxiety disorders, including excessive worry, panic attacks, and phobias, by targeting the underlying memories and beliefs that contribute to your anxiety.

  • Depression: EMDR therapy can aid in resolving past traumas and negative experiences that may be contributing to feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and low self-esteem.

  • Phobias and Fears: EMDR can help individuals overcome specific phobias and fears by desensitizing the emotional charge associated with triggering stimuli.

  • Self-Esteem Issues: EMDR therapy can address negative beliefs about oneself that may have developed as a result of past trauma or adverse life experiences, leading to improved self-esteem and self-confidence.
